Regenerative agriculture is all about nourishing the soil. The focus is on improving soil health and strengthening the resilience of the soil food web, since this is the foundation for efficient nutrient cycling. Agroecology expands that framework to cultivate synergies beyond the soil into other ecological realms, including the societal framework.
I connect this to improving the health of communities by working towards ensuring access for all people to food that nourishes bodies, souls, and our relationships with one another. This is literally working from the ground up. So much of the food system is plagued by broken connections; my focus is on restoring and rebuilding the ecology of the food system on a local level, where I can have an impact.

I provide advice for farmers, home growers, educators, nonprofits, and city planners who seek to incorporate principles of environmental and social ecology into operational planning. I can support you with building soil, increasing biodiversity, developing a crop plan, and planning for storage and distribution.

After completing a double diploma Master of Science in Agroecology at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and the Institut Superieur d'Agriculture Rhone-Alpes in France, I returned to my home state of Colorado and dove into aquaponics. I ran a 5,400 square foot greenhouse at a community mental health center in urban Denver for 8 years where I had the pleasure to share my knowledge with many interested folks from across the world by providing tours and intensive hands-on learning experiences through an apprenticeship program as well as the Aquaponics as a Business training program offered through The Aquaponic Source. Now I work with several organizations to support farmers and homesteaders in developing operational plans for managing greenhouse production, controlled environment agriculture, and food forests. I also teach The Place of Food Lynx Learning Community class at the University of Colorado at Denver.
Plants are particular. Each location has its own requirements. Tell me more about your growing methods and vision so I can learn about where you are and where you want to be.
